CHIentist: Connections MATTER

CHIentist is proud to present our 1st annual networking event, CHIentist: Connections MATTER. The goal of this event is to build a stronger life science community by providing a platform for professionals from different niches of Chicago's Biomedical Ecosystem to communicate with each other and foster new connections.

The event will start with a keynote address by Mr. Tim Walbert, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Horizon Pharma. Mr. Walbert joined Horizon Pharma in June 2008 as the president and chief executive officer and has served as chairman of the board of directors since 2010. Prior to joining Horizon Pharma, he served as president, chief executive officer and director of IDM Pharma, Inc., a public biopharmaceutical company which was acquired by Takeda America Holdings, Inc., or Takeda, in June 2009. Mr. Walbert also serves on the board of directors of XOMA Corporation, Egalet Corporation, the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), the Illinois Biotechnology Industry Organization (iBIO), ChicagoNEXT.; and he is a member of the Illinois Innovation Council.

After the keynote address, the night will be followed by both structured and freestyle networking.

6:30-7:00pm - Introduction and Keynote Address

7:00-7:40pm - Structured Speed Networking (4 rounds/10 mins each)

7:40-8:30pm - Freestyle Networking

Light appetizers, local beer and wine will be provided.
